Can Artificial Grass Be Installed Over My Existing Lawn or Over Sand?

No. Artificial grass is similar to pavers. The artificial grass installers need to prepare the ground and all old turf (synthetic or natural turf) removed either through turf-cutting or spraying. Sand is unfortunately not a stable base form for the ground and you can not install artificial turf over it.

How Long Does Artificial Grass Last?

The time that artificial grass will last will depend on how much use it receives in terms of foot traffic. Generally, if maintained correctly, artificial grass purchased and installed by Turf Green will last in excess of 10 years.

How Do I Maintain Artificial Grass?

Very little maintenance is required for synthetic grass installed at your property. All that is required is to sweep off any leaves or gently use a leaf blower. You can also hose off any spills or pet messes. For pet solids, simply scoop up in the traditional way. You can hose or wipe down with cold water if required. To lift the grass fibres just use a broom to sweep in the opposite direction to your view point.

Like all products, it will loose a small amount of colour in the first few months but then it stabilises and the colour stops releasing from the synthetic grass.

The water drains through the grass and so does the snow when it melts.

How Can I Get Rid of Pet Odour From the Grass?

You can use disinfectant products like pineoclean if needed. Avoid bleach products so not to hamper the colour of the grass.
